A man and two women in Kansas were arrested recently and have been accused of illegally practicing dentistry since 2023, and one of them is also accused of human smuggling, according to a story published May 14 in KVOE.

Iris Sandoval-Flores, 51, Ana Figueroa, 41, and Rigoberto Sandoval, 39, have been charged with one count of unlicensed practice of dentistry or dental hygiene.
Also, Sandoval-Flores has been charged with human smuggling after allegedly harboring a person both entering the U.S. illegally and possibly exploited for somebody else’s financial gain, as well as one count of dealing in false identification documents, including a driver’s license and/or a Social Security card, and identity theft.
Additionally, Figueroa and Sandoval were charged with unlawfully obtaining a prescription-only drug.
Their alleged actions occurred between January 2023 and May 2025. No other details were released, according to the story. The preliminary hearings for all three are scheduled for the upcoming weeks.
A criminal complaint is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
