A dentist has been charged with arson for allegedly causing an explosion at his dental practice in Alabama, which is now permanently closed, according to a post from the Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office.
In addition to second-degree arson, Dr. Douglas O’Connor was charged with first-degree insurance fraud, capping a 10-month investigation into an explosion at his dental office in Evergreen, AL, according to the fire marshal’s office.
On January 23, O’Connor turned himself into authorities and is being held in the county jail while awaiting bond, according to the office.
