An employee was arrested on January 20 for allegedly stealing $57,000 from the dental practice in New York where she worked, according to an announcement posted on Facebook by the City of Utica, NY Police Department.

Siden Lieu, 35, of Clinton, NY, turned herself in to authorities on January 20. She was charged with grand larceny in the second degree and falsifying business records in the first degree, according to police.
In November 2025, a dentist went to police with evidence that one of his employees was reportedly depositing payments made to the dental office into her personal checking account. The dental practice was not identified.
The criminal investigation, which included reviewing bank records and subpoenas, revealed that Lieu allegedly deposited more than $57,000 into her personal bank accounts, according to police.
A criminal complaint is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
