Check out his quick clinical tip below.

Video transcript

"Hi, I'm Dr. Jonathan Ford. I'm a general dentist in Huntington Beach, California, and my quick clinical tip is to work on your diagnostic skills and use every tool available to help you with the diagnosis.

"Once you can diagnose something and you get your patients to buy in on that diagnosis, then you ultimately get to treat more. So whether that's a cone beam, a little bit more of an expensive investment, or just clinical pictures, clinical photos, or maybe even something like the new AI with Overjet and Pearl, use those tools.

"Use that information and create a story. Create a presentation, and allow your patients to see something. I can communicate all I want. I can tell them that there's a cavity. I can show them shades of gray and an x-ray when I have that color-coded, red is bad, and blue is a filling. That's where it creates an impact.

"So you work on your diagnostic skills, craft that story, create great patient communication skills, and that allows me to then get that yes, to create a great treatment plan, and to get acceptance, and for that patient to move forward."
