The ADA and the Academy for Sports Dentistry (ASD) have partnered to raise awareness of sports dentistry, which focuses on preventing and treating sports-related dental injuries.

The collaboration supports educational initiatives, including ASD certification and continuing education (CE), and promoting awareness among dentists. In 2026, a sports dentistry CE course developed with ASD will be added to the ADA CE Catalog while ASD continues to offer certification courses online.
