"This is Meena Barsoum with CDOCS, and welcome to the tip of the day. In today's tip, I want to talk about a technique I like to use when I'm drawing my margin, and that is to draw the margin from underneath the model.
"As you can see here, sometimes when you're marginating a preparation, it can be difficult to discern the tissue from the tooth data. So what I find is that if I turn the mark the model upside down, I can easily visualize the tooth structure, because I can see where the tissue sticks beyond the tooth structure, especially if you've packed any retraction cord, you'll have a negative sulcus area in that space that will then protrude from underneath.
"So when you're rotating the model around, you can easily see where the sulcus of where the tissue that you retract it is, and then you can see the edge of your model so that your margination is nice and proper.
"So, hopefully this was a helpful video. We look forward to seeing you again soon in future videos."
