Ormco updates Insignia Advanced Smile Design software

Ormco has updated the software for its Insignia Advanced Smile Design orthodontic appliance system.

The Insignia system combines 3D diagnostic technology and interactive treatment planning, according to the company. The Insignia 21.8.1 software upgrade includes new molar tube options and re-engineered placement jigs for increased clinical efficiency and enhanced case personalization.

"Innovation is a top priority at Ormco, and we're excited to introduce another advancement for our award-winning Insignia technology that has already received a positive reaction from our users," stated Patrik Eriksson, president of Ormco, in a press release.

In other company news, the Ormco also announced that it has reached a patient milestone for the Insignia system, shipping its 100,000th case.
