Before you can slap on a ceramic veneer, you have to prepare the teeth. You need to remove some material -- but not too much. And you need to remove it uniformly. A new ally in this delicate operation could be Komet USA's Kit 4517, which is designed to give you enhanced control over tooth penetration before applying ceramic veneers.
"An important precondition for successful placement is conservative tooth structure preparation. Komet's Ceramic Veneer Kit 4517 ensures proper tooth preparation," the company stated in a press release.
The secret? New depth markers that allow for a final preparation depth of 0.4 or 0.5 mm. Other special features include tapered medium grit (100 µm) diamond abrasives (868) and fine grain (30 µm) diamond finishing instruments (8868). Kit 4517 is ideally suited for labial and palatal veneers.
