A man who refers to himself as Atlanta's top veneer specialist has been charged with eight felonies for illegally practicing dentistry without a license for years, according to a story published on October 3 by WSB-TV.

Brandon Dillard of A List Smiles Atlanta was charged with eight felonies, including practicing dentistry without a license, practicing medicine without a license, and theft by deception after police raided the business on October 3. The business appeared to look like a legitimate practice with dental equipment, according to the story.

Veneers can only be placed by licensed dentists, but Dillard reportedly has been illegally performing the services and advertising them on social media since 2021. Dillard has never had a dental license, according to the story.

The company, which has more than 157,000 followers on Instagram, promoted deals, like raffles for a $5,500 veneer procedure, on the social media platform. Dentists in Georgia, as well as outside the state, have reported their concerns to police about patients who received services from Dillard.

Furthermore, Dillard is accused of offering veneer training sessions. He purportedly charged more than $6,000 to become a veneer specialist. However, no such specialist exists in Georgia, according to the story.

Authorities are asking patients of Dillard and people who have taken Dillard's "courses" to contact the Fulton County District Attorney's office. Individuals who took these courses and are providing veneer services to patients could also be prosecuted.
