Oral health company Quip has acquired teledental services provider Toothpic. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Once the companies are fully integrated, current Quip and Toothpic users and partners will have access to a free oral care companion app that guides and rewards good dental habits, including visiting a dentist and toothbrushing.
Currently, Quip, which recently partnered with UnitedHealthcare Dental, has more than 8.5 million users. Toothpic offers teledental services and care to more than 36 million people in the U.S. through partnerships with dental insurers, including Delta Dental of California and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
