As part of the launch event in Anaheim, Dinesh Weerasinghe, PhD, senior technical and marketing manager, dental division, Kuraray America, and Dr. Richard Young, an assistant professor of restorative dentistry at Loma Linda University in the undergraduate dental aesthetics program and practice management courses, joined me for an interview about the new products as well as some of the reasons why they were created.
Among those reasons were some of the current issues facing dentists and dental team members today when it comes to bonding. During his presentation as a part of the launch event, Dr. Young told the crowd in attendance what he believed to be the biggest issue in dentistry today in terms of bonding. After his talk, I spoke with him.
Dr. Young also showed numerous cases during the event where he had used Kuraray products to restore teeth that only had fragments remaining. The technique and results were a bit shocking, so I wanted to ask him about those cases as well.
