An office manager was arraigned May 28 for allegedly embezzling approximately $286,000 from the dental practice in New York where he worked for several years, according to a press release dated May 28 from the Nassau County Police Department.
Jeffrey Fernandez, 34, of Norwalk, CT, was arrested on May 28 and charged with two counts of second-degree grand larceny and criminal possession of a forged instrument. Fernandez is scheduled to be back in court in June.
Fernandez reportedly took money from the practice, which has not been identified, while working there between January 2020 to July 2024. He allegedly altered the routing bank account number for the practice to his own personal bank account to steal the funds, according to the press release.
