A dentist in Florida arrested for allegedly traveling to pay a 14-year-old girl for sex recently had his dental license revoked, according to a recently filed order from the Florida Board of Dentistry.
The board chose to revoke the license of Dr. Rida Ngo of Pinellas Park, FL, who failed to respond to the complaint filed or request a hearing on the matter. Additionally, the board ordered Ngo to pay a $5,000 administrative fine plus $1,649 to cover the costs of the investigation, according to the final order dated December 5.
In March 2025, the county sheriff’s officers conducted an investigation that targeted adults who used the internet to pay for sex with minors. During the investigation, Ngo allegedly responded via text to an advertisement, requesting sex with a 14-year-old girl.
After a meetup location was set, authorities reportedly met Ngo there and arrested him. Ngo was charged with traveling to meet a minor after using a computer to lure a minor, according to the order.
Florida statute authorizes disciplinary action when an individual is convicted, found guilty, or plans to enter a plea to committing certain crimes, according to the state’s final order.
A criminal complaint is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
