A 62-year-old man was arrested on December 9 for suspected arson and burglary after he was allegedly found inside an orthodontics practice in Washington that had been set on fire, according to the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.
The man, of Bremerton, WA, who has not yet been identified by authorities, was charged with suspicion of arson and burglary following a fire at Johnsonlink Orthodontics in Silverdale, WA. The practice reportedly sustained extensive damage inside and outside.
Around midnight on December 9, police, fire, and rescue responded to the practice for reports of a fire. The unidentified man was allegedly found inside the business after the fire was extinguished, according to a Facebook post published on December 10 by the county sheriff’s office.
The man was taken to the hospital, where he was evaluated and released. Then, the man was charged and taken to the county jail, according to the post.
Authorities reportedly found a gray shoe and a melted butane can near the area where the man was found, according to a story published on December 10 in the Kitsap Sun.
A criminal complaint is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
