The closure of a dental practice in Huron, SD, that offered membership plans is being investigated by the state's Division of Consumer Protection, according to an August 13 article in the Huron Daily Plainsman.
The Huron Police Department has received complaints from people who purchased a membership plan from the now-closed Countryside Dental, according to the article.
The Countryside website states that the practice has closed and refers patients to another Huron practice. It also details the practice's membership plan and that the practice did not accept insurance. Individual membership was priced at an initial fee of $2,599 with an annual renewal fee of $699.
