ADA releases 2 guide books

The American Dental Association has released two new guide books, one on dental assisting and the other on dental office design.

The Essentials of Dental Assisting is designed to both help train new staff and serve as a reference book for more experienced dental assistants. It includes information on core clinical skills, legal issues, infection control, and radiography.

Building or Refreshing Your Dental Practice: A Guide to Dental Office Design contains insights from dental architects and design consultants on how to build or renovate a dental office. Topics include financing a build or remodel, potential legal issues, equipment needs, and colors and finishes.

Both books are available for purchase on the ADA's website, with special pricing for ADA members.
