DentaQuest has donated $25,000 to the California Dental Association (CDA) Foundation to support its student loan repayment grant program.
The program provides a $105,000 grant over three years to help new dentists pay their student loan debt. In exchange, the dentists commit to provide care for underserved populations. Since 2002, the grant has enabled 16 dentists to work in public health and has helped more than 75,000 people in underserved communities.
"Supporting programs like the student loan repayment grant that increase access to care in underserved communities furthers DentaQuest's mission to improve the oral health of all," stated DentaQuest President and CEO Steve Pollock in a press release.
"The donation from DentaQuest will have a tremendous impact in California communities where people have difficulty accessing dental care," stated Don Rollofson, DMD, chair of the CDA Foundation.
