UNE names scholarship in memory of Dr. James B. Hanley

The University of New England (UNE) has named an endowed scholarship in memory of James B. Hanley, DMD, who was dean of UNE's College of Dental Medicine before his death in May from cancer.

The scholarship, called the James B. Hanley Dean's Scholarship for Emerging Leaders, will provide support for UNE's dental students, according to the university.

The awards will reflect Dr. Hanley's belief in student leadership and community service, along with his commitment to academic achievement in the field of oral health.
