UConn to enlarge dental school

The University of Connecticut (UConn) Health Center will enlarge its dental school to add 48 more students, according to a story in the Hartford Courant.

The state Senate approved the $864 million proposal on June 1 to enlarge both the medical and dental schools at the University of Connecticut, while creating 3,000 new construction jobs on the campus in Farmington, CT.

In addition to the 48 dental students, the plan adds 100 students to the medical school and approximately 50 medical researchers in a comprehensive plan that will include new buildings and parking garages.
