Nobel Biocare and XCPT Communication Technologies have signed an agreement to integrate XCPT's Patient Engagement System software into Nobel Biocare's PracticePerks customer portal.
XCPT's software is a graphic, face-to-face patient consultation and engagement tool designed to help doctors communicate by recognizing the importance of visual learning during treatment planning, according to the company. With XCPT, the patient is involved in every step of the dental treatment process as the clinician uses the patient's own x-rays, CT scans, and/or photographs to communicate treatment options and solutions.
"XCPT's software helps patients decide what is best for them in a personalized, trusting, open environment," said Steven J. Feldman, D.D.S., CEO of XCPT. "With its use, we're seeing doctors improve patient understanding and increase case acceptance by simply showing the patient what they see."
