Scandex, one of the largest providers of Swedish ergonomic chairs and stools in North America, has launched a Dental Division to cater to the seating requirements of dentists, hygienists, lab technicians, and dental office staff.
Scandex Swedish ergonomic chairs and stools are designed for proper seating so the lumbar is supported and the spine maintains the proper "S" position, the company said in a press release.
"The demand for our Swedish ergonomic seating has increased significantly within the dental industry, so much so that we have developed a new division to cater to their specific needs," said Sven Emilsson, director of sales, in the release.
The most popular models for dental practitioners are the Bruno Ergonomic Office Chair, Series 300 and the Björn Ergonomic Saddle Stool, Series 400/600, according to the company. Both automatically seat a dentist or hygienist in a correct posture and position him/her nearer to the patient, which reduces overall strain on the back, shoulders, and neck muscles.
