Jorge Gomez will join vaccine developer Moderna as chief financial officer effective May 9th and will serve on the company's executive committee, reporting to Chief Executive Officer Stéphane Bancel.
Jorge Gomez.Gomez recently served as executive vice president and chief financial officer at Dentsply Sirona, where he held those positions since August 2019. Gomez was responsible for strategic finance, accounting, and investor relations, among other responsibilities.
Moderna's current CFO, David Meline, had retired but rejoined Moderna in the spring of 2020 to assist with the commercial progression of a messenger RNA vaccine for COVID-19. Meline will retire in spring 2022 but will continue to work in a consultant capacity as the transition in the CFO role takes place.
