The Eklund Foundation for Odontological Research and Education has announced the recipients of its 2020 grants, totaling approximately 200,000 euros ($233,000 U.S.).
The two projects are related to cariology. One addresses healthy food and healthy teeth in children from low socioeconomic positions, and the other focuses on salutogenesis among adolescents in socioeconomically vulnerable populations.
The Eklund Foundation was created in 2015 through a donation from the Eklund family, owners of the Swedish company TePe Oral Hygiene Products, to support research and education in the odontological field. In previous years, the foundation supported projects related to periodontology and implantology.
