The American Association of Public Health Dentistry (AAPHD) has announced the appointment of Julie Frantsve-Hawley, RDH, PhD, as its new executive director
Dr. Hawley led the ADA's evidence-based dentistry (EBD) efforts for 10 years, beginning in the department of scientific information before being promoted to director and subsequently senior director of the ADA's Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry. Before she pursued graduate education, she spent more than a decade in clinical practice.
"We are thrilled to include Dr. Hawley as part of the AAPHD leadership team" stated AAPHD President Michael Monopoli, DDS, MPH, in the press release. "She brings clinical experience, content expertise, and association management skills to the table, and will be a key collaborator to help grow the organization to an influential force for improving oral health."
