"Hi, my name is Alyssa, and I'm an endodontic clinical assistant for Dr. Kinra. And for my tip of the day, I'll be showing you how to dry the canal spaces and get them ready to operate. So once you finish the irrigation process, you'll want to take a pack of paper points, and I'm using a pack of Lexicon, size medium drying points, and you'll want to drop them down each canal space. And sometimes you'll want to cut these back or adjust them depending on the working length, which isn't necessary in this example. So we won't be doing that.
"Sometimes, when you're drying the mesial, it helps to put a little bit of a bend in the paper point to get around that typical angulation. So you'll want to keep doing this until the paper points start coming out dry. Sometimes it can be difficult to see with your eyes, so you can test them against your finger. And if they're dry, they won't have any give. So once that happens, it's time to obturate and finish up the case.
"Thank you for watching, and you can find more tips like this by visiting Dr. Kinra's workshops. Thank you."
