What your no-show policy may say about your practice, plus the week's top stories

Dear DrBicuspid Member,

One of my favorite sayings is a simple but powerful one: "With choices come consequences."

It's a saying I've used in both my personal and professional lives, and it's already stopped me in my tracks before making a big decision. How will what I choose today impact the ones I love or my business or my future? There are times that I have been very thankful to have taken that pause and thought things through before acting out in emotion.

That saying popped into my head again recently when I interviewed esteemed practice management consultant Jenny de St. Georges for a recent episode of "The DrBicuspid.com Podcast." In the episode, which was sponsored by Garfield Refining and you can hear by clicking here, de St. Georges discussed the word choices dentists often make when it comes to their practice's policies, including no-shows.

Below are her thoughts on the power of some of the words used inside dental practices today.

What do you think? Do you agree or disagree with the perception of the no-show policy? Let us know in the comments section below.
