Dental software developer Curve Dental has introduced a new patient communication package called Curve Connex.
Curve Connex includes a patient portal for online payments where patients can make a payment, review current and past statements, and view past payments, as well as see when their next appointment is scheduled.
The package also features an automated appointment reminder system that can help dental practices reduce missed appointments. Patients can be reminded of upcoming appointments by email or text message. A dental practice can set how often they wish patients to be reminded, when they are to be reminded, and how they are to be reminded.
In addition, the Web-based portal provides the visiting patient with a library of more than 60 fully automated and professionally narrated patient education videos. Whenever a visiting patient watches a video, the date, time, and video title are noted in the patient's record. Curve Dental is able to securely pass data to the patient portal in real-time; synching with a local server is not required, the company noted.
As an accessory to Curve Dental's practice management system, the Curve Connex service can be added to Curve Dental customers' currently monthly subscription at an additional charge.
