A dentist in Florida accused of sending more than 100 threats of death and injury, including racially charged messages, to more than three dozen people has been indicted on U.S. charges, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Dr. Richard Kantwill, 60, of Tampa, FL, was charged with three counts of interstate transmission of a threat to injure. He faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in U.S. prison if convicted on all counts, according to a press release dated June 20 from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Middle District of Florida.

Between August 2019 and July 2020, Kantwill allegedly sent about 100 threats of death and injury and other disturbing messages to approximately 42 different victims. He is accused of making the threats via emails, texts, and on social media.

In an email to one victim, Kantwill reportedly called a man a “degenerate” and referred to an article the person had written about “The Great Donald Trump” as “blatantly prejudiced,” as well as making disparaging comments about President Barack Obama.

In the profanity-filled message, Kantwill allegedly further stated, “[You are] so blatantly ignorant, and liberally immoral. God bless the Great President Trump and his family. F—k you and yours. Hire extra security … you’re gonna need it. I plan on f—king you up … just for the fun of it.”

In message to another victim, the dentist allegedly referred to the person as “fake reverend” and further stated, “you should know … being the anti-Christian piece of s—t that you are, that we are going to kill you. Torture first, then death…”

Kantwill is accused of texting a third victim, “Hey n— … ever get tired of losing??? Cannot wait to shoot your ghetto a— in the street … you will die like every other n— piece of s—t.”
