The ADA is urging U.S. lawmakers to give small dental startups access to the Small Business Administration's Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), according to a news story published on February 22 by ADA News.
In a letter dated February 19, the ADA requested that Congress allow businesses to select any three-month period to show a 25% drop in revenue so that small dental practices can take advantage of PPP loans in the next COVID-19 relief package.
The association also asked that businesses that opened after February 15, 2020, gain access to PPP and other small business loans and grants. In addition, the ADA requested that lenders do not require "overly burdensome" documentation for a second draw PPP loan.
