Birner reports decreased Q3 revenues, earnings

Birner Dental Management Services reported a decrease in both revenues and earnings for the third quarter of 2016.

For the quarter (end-September 30), the company reported revenues of $15.2 million, down 4.4% from the same quarter in 2015, according to the company.

The company's net loss for the quarter grew to $517,000, compared with a net loss of $227,000 in the third quarter of 2015.

The company cited revenue decline in one region and an overall drop in affiliated dentists from 110 to 98 as reasons behind the decline in revenue. The company has installed new management in the affected region and hired a new dentist recruiter.

The company currently manages 69 dental offices in Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona under the Perfect Teeth name.
