The Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations has scheduled its Dental Licensure Objective Structured Clinical Examination (DLOSCE) for June.
The DLOSCE is designed to assess dental students and other candidates' clinical judgment and skills using 3D models without the presence of patients. The exam covers restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, oral pathology, pain management and temporomandibular disorders, periodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, orthodontics, medical emergencies, and prescriptions.
The Joint Commission plans to conduct webinars in the coming weeks to share additional information and answer questions from applicants as they prepare for the test. Each webinar will focus on a particular stakeholder group, such as dental boards, educators, and students, to provide information relevant to their specific needs.
