Dorothy Perry, PhD, will retire as the associate dean of education and student affairs at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry on June 30, 2016.
Dr. Perry led the school's accreditation process twice (in 2003-2005 and 2010-2012) and implemented and administered a revised, contemporary curriculum. She also revamped the school's admissions process to identify students from educationally underserved backgrounds, resulting in a more diverse student body.
"I want to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Perry for her very long service to the University of California and especially to UCSF for the last 26 years," stated John D.B. Featherstone, dean of the UCSF School of Dentistry, in a press release.
