NCOHF launches Halloween fundraising campaign

The National Children's Oral Health Foundation (NCOHF) is launching Trick or Treat for America's Toothfairy, a fundraising campaign sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Products Division of McNeil-PPC and Patterson Dental Supply.

The campaign is designed to benefit underserved children in need of oral health services. Dental professionals and their patients are invited to trick or treat on behalf of NCOHF this Halloween and raise funds to support nonprofit oral health programs for at-risk children, the organization said.

Dental professionals are encouraged to place a collection box in their waiting rooms, distribute trick or treat kits to their patients and communities, or hold fundraisers.

"This Halloween, we encourage trick-or-treaters and dental offices everywhere to become a child's real-life tooth fairy by helping raise funds for this important cause," said Daniel Weiss, vice president of oral care for Johnson & Johnson, in a press release.

As part of the event, NCOHF is also sponsoring a contest for dental hygienists. Contest entries should be submitted to NCOHF online or postmarked no later than November 15. Winners will be named in the following categories:

  • Most money raised
  • Most unique fundraiser
  • Best trick-or-treat pictures

Those interested in receiving kits for their office should contact their Patterson Dental Supply representative or order online (Office Kit # 030-5920, Individual Kit # 030-5904) at www.pattersondental.com.
