ADA shares views on reform with U.S. Senate

ADA officials have described their positions on proposed amendments to a healthcare reform bill now before the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance, the organization said.

The ADA took positions on seven out of 564 proposed amendments to the bill. In addition, dentists visiting Washington, DC, for the Michigan Dental Association's annual lobbying trip pushed for an amendment that would "ensure that individuals and families who like their current dental coverage can continue to keep it in any future health insurance exchange."

The ADA said it will post on its Web site a letter from its president, John Findley, D.D.S., to the finance committee detailing its positions.
