New York Yankees great Alex Rodriguez has donated $250,000 toward a mobile dental clinic that will serve his old New York City neighborhood. Rodriguez donated the money to Columbia University's DentCare program, which serves northern Manhattan residents.
The third baseman will launch the dental van this week at Middle Schools 328 and 326 in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood, according to the university.
The van will be run by Columbia's College of Dental Medicine.
