Henry Schein has closed on its acquisition of an 80% stake in Polish dental distributor Marrodent, marking the company's entry into the Polish dental market.
Marrodent distributes dental consumables and equipment, as well as dental laboratory supplies and equipment, and had sales of approximately $32 million in 2015, according to Henry Schein. The company serves approximately 10,000 dental practitioners in Poland and has a sales force of close to 60 people and a call center.
With this acquisition, Henry Schein now operates in 27 countries. The company had global dental sales of $5.3 billion in 2015.
