The International Association for Dental Research (IADR) has elected Rena D'Souza, DDS, PhD, as its next vice president.
Her term will begin at the conclusion of the 2016 IADR meeting, held in June in Seoul, South Korea. After serving as vice president, Dr. D'Souza will stay on the IADR Board of Directors for three consecutive terms as president-elect, president, and immediate past president, according to the association.
Dr. D'Souza is the associate vice provost for research at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She is a past president of the American Association for Dental Research and has been an IADR member since 1984. She has also directed two National Institutes of Health (NIH) institutional research training and development programs.
