The DentaQuest Institute announced that Sean Boynes, DMD, has been named as the director of interprofessional practice. Dr. Boynes will guide program development and research and also develop best-practice models for care delivery to address the needs of underserved populations, according to the institute.
"The future of healthcare is collaborative and interprofessional, especially as we work to address the needs of underserved populations and end a preventable disease," stated Rob Compton, DDS, president of the DentaQuest Institute, in a press release. "We look forward to the knowledge and new ideas Dr. Boynes will bring to our work."
Dr. Boynes is a dental anesthesiologist with numerous publications on dentistry, public health, pharmacology, and anesthesiology to his credit. He previously served as director of dental medicine at CareSouth Carolina, a federally qualified health center in Society Hill, SC.
