Carol Summerhays, DDS, of San Diego has been selected as the president-elect of the ADA by the House of Delegates during the ADA 2014 annual meeting in San Antonio, according to an ADA News story.
Dr. Summerhays will succeed Maxine Feinberg, DDS, as ADA president next fall when the house reconvenes in Washington, DC, for the 2015 annual meeting.
A 1978 graduate of the University of Southern California, Dr. Summerhays is the past president of the California Dental Association and the immediate past trustee of the ADA's 13th District of California. An ADA member for 36 years, she has served on several board committees and chaired the ADA Compensation Committee and the ADA Governance Committee, according to the organization.
