Quantum Dental Technologies, the manufacturer of the Canary system, has released the Canary Cloud.
The Canary system allows oral health providers to detect, track, and monitor tooth decay and cracks in teeth. The Canary Cloud enables dentists to view and manage this data in an online environment and track Canary usage in the office, according to the company.
Using the Canary System, dental offices can provide patients with images, reports, and graphs that track their progress on their preventive programs, Quantum noted. Armed with this information, patients can see if their home care regimen is helping to remineralize early-stage lesions.
Via the Canary Cloud, patients can view and print their Canary reports from home. All patient information is protected in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) requirements, according to the company.
"I am so excited about this latest feature in the Canary System. It makes patient engagement very easy, and helps me to quickly track their progress" said Stephen Abrams, DDS, founder of Quantum Dental Technologies, stated in a press release. "We have moved caries management into the 21st century."
