AuthAir has launched its first healthcare optimized compliance product, AuthAir Dental.
Introduced at the Hinman Dental Meeting in Atlanta, AuthAir Dental is designed to address HIPAA security compliance concerns and keep protected electronic patient health information private during both routine and specialized visits to dental offices, according to the company.
Only a valid user with an authorized AuthAir Dental token on their person will be able to automatically unlock an AuthAir Dental secured station when he or she comes within an allowable distance and will be able to read or edit patient records, according to AuthAir.
The system requires little-to-no modification to existing end-user processes and procedures, the company noted. It allows office staff to leave their tokens in their pockets or around their necks on a lanyard without having to type a code of any kind. It uses the company's secure communication while interacting with previously secured workstations to create an authentication geofence around that practice's office computer network.
The company is exhibiting at the Hinman Dental Meeting in Atlanta from March 27- 29 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Hall B, booth No. 757.
