Denmark's largest dental supplier Plandent has acquired Fiskers Dental Service, the fourth biggest dental distributor in the Danish market.
Plandent is a part of Plandent Division, Europe's second largest distributor in dental supplies, technology, and services.
Plandent Division belongs to the Finnish Planmeca Group, one of the world's leading manufacturers in dental and medical technology.
The prior owner of Fiskers, Bo Teis Blok, will continue as the managing director of Fiskers. The company has $6.2 million (4.5 million euros) in assets.
The Plandent Division has distribution companies in 13 countries in Europe. The Planmeca Group operates in more than 120 countries, employing 2,650 people worldwide, and forecasts attaining $1.1 billion (800 million euros) in assets in 2014.
