DentaQuest has appointed John R. Luther, DDS, as senior vice president of dental management and chief dental officer.
Dr. Luther will be responsible for the development and management of provider networks that meet the oral healthcare needs of DentaQuest's 18 million members. He will also oversee DentaQuest's model dental office, the DentaQuest Oral Health Center in Westborough, MA, which bases its service delivery on a prevention-focused model of care.
Dr. Luther comes to DentaQuest from UnitedHealthcare, where he was the chief dental officer since 2009 and responsible for the development of dental networks and disease management and wellness programs.
