A dental hygienist in Fort Worth, TX, is credited with saving a man's life August 29 after his car crashed through the wall of the dentist's office where she works, according to a story by Star-Telegram.
Witnesses said Ron Tyler appeared to have suffered from a medical problem that caused him to lose control of his car and plow into the brick walls of the dental office of Gary Pointer, DDS.
After Tyler was pulled from his vehicle, Julie Watson, RDH, found that he had no pulse, so she performed CPR and used an automatic defibrillator on him. A doctor who worked in the same building also helped by doing chest compressions.
After they successfully revived him, Tyler was taken to an area hospital, where he was later reported to be in fair condition.
