The Virginia Oral Health Coalition has received a grant of more than $152,000 from the DentaQuest Foundation, according to a news story in the Daily Press.
The grant is meant to support the coalition's efforts to improve the oral health of Virginians through policy change, public awareness, and new programs, including the Virginia Dental Home Initiative, an educational outreach program for dentists, dental hygienists, and early childhood educators, the story noted.
Launched in partnership with the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, the initiative addresses obstacles to improving the dental health of Virginia's children.
