Danaher -- whose dental business comprises Dexis, Gendex, Imaging Sciences International, Instrumentarium Dental, KaVo, Kerr Ormco, Pelton & Crane, Soredex, and SybronEndo -- reported earnings of $474 million for its 2010 fiscal fourth quarter (end-December 31), up from $267 million for the same quarter a year ago.
Sales for the quarter were $3.6 billion, up 15% from sales of $3.1 billion reported in the fourth quarter last year.
Danaher's dental business reported sales of $521.5 million for the quarter, up from $489 million for the fourth quarter of 2009, and operating profit of $63 million, compared with $24 million in the same quarter a year ago.
"2010 was an outstanding year for Danaher," said H. Lawrence Culp Jr., president and CEO of Danaher, in a press release.
