Air Techniques will now ship its entire line of air compressors and vacuum systems from third-party logistics warehouses in three U.S. states, in addition to its existing facilities in New York and California, the company announced.
These additional shipping points will help get products to dealers in a more timely and cost-effective manner, Air Techniques said.
Air Techniques has teamed up with FedEx Trade Networks to help coordinate logistics in busier areas across the U.S. Currently, there are three warehouses, located in Auburn, WA; El Paso, TX; and Elk Grove Village, IL. Sales are being conducted in normal fashion, and orders are still shipping from Air Techniques' main headquarters in Melville, NY, and its facility in Corona, CA, in addition to the new Fed-Ex locations.
These three logistics warehouses are all actively working and functioning smoothly, the company said. A fourth location in Tarboro, NC, will be online the beginning of February 2011.
