KaVo Dental has forged a strategic partnership with Leica Microsystems to develop and market dental microscopes in Europe.
In the first stage of the partnership, KaVo will launch the marketing of Leica dental microscopes in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the U.K., France, Benelux, Russia, and Poland.
"The strong cooperation between KaVo and Leica Microsystems, particularly during the new product development process, will make us better equipped than any other dental manufacturer to supply dental microscopes that can be optimally integrated into the workflows of dental practice," said Ruth Ch. Geßner, general manager of KaVo's equipment business unit, in a press release. "For this project, having a cooperation partner who, like KaVo, belongs to the Danaher Corporation, gives us a tremendous advantage."
Both KaVo and Leica Microsystems are subsidiaries of Danaher.
The strategic alliance between the two companies will make KaVo the only dental manufacturer to supply high-tech dental microscopes, combining the many ergonomic advantages of its dental units with high-quality optics, the companies said.
