Fourteen hundred people turned up as Oklahoma's first ever free dental clinic got under way on February 5, according to a news story on KOTV. The clinic was hosted by the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy, and volunteers converted the Tulsa Convention Center into a dental clinic.
The clinic included 90 chairs to treat patients, plus a special area for children. Among the treatment options offered by the clinic were cleanings, root canals, and dentures, according to the story.
The goal was to treat 1,600 people between February 5 and 6, the story concluded.
