Marquette University will receive $850,000 for its dental outreach services as part of a federal omnibus spending bill recently signed into law by Pres. Barack Obama, according to Milwaukee’s public radio station WUWM 89.7.
The money will enable the school to offer dental care to children in low-income urban neighborhoods, William Lobb, dean of Marquette’s School of Dentistry, told WUWM.
The dental school helps operate clinics in Milwaukee, Appleton, Eau Claire, and Stevens Point, WI, that offer dental services at reduced rates, the story noted.
